Transvaginal Mesh (TVM): The first bellwhether trial in the MDL against Johnson & Johnson (Ethicon) began on February 10, 2014. The first bellwhether trial against American Medical Systems (AMS) in the MDL is scheduled for April 17, 2014. Stephen I. Leshner, P.C. has a number of TVM clients with complaints filed in the MDL against these Defendants, and others, and we are anxiously awaiting the results of these trials.
Lipitor: This is one of the most widely prescribed drugs in the world and has been used to treat high cholesterol since 1996. A recent University of Massachusetts study found a possible link between Lipitor and type 2 diabetes. Of the 153,840 women evaluated in the study, more than 10,000 had developed type 2 diabetes. If you are a woman, who took brand name Lipitor (not a generic) consistently for at least two months, and were diagnosed with type 2 diabetes while taking Lipitor, or within six months of your last dose of Lipitor, had a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or less at the time of diagnosis of diabetes, and had no or limited family history of diabetes. If that describes your situation, please call Phoenix Arizona personal injury and product liability attorney Steve Leshner for a free consultation.
Testosterone Replacement Therapy: Drugs for “Low-T” have been linked to an increased risk for death, heart attack and stroke. Researchers have found that men who used testosterone replacement drugs were 30 percent more likely to have a heart attack or stroke, or die within three years of taking these products. Further, those men who started the study with clear, unobstructed coronary arteries were just as likely to have a heart attack, stroke or die as those who started the study with established coronary artery disease. Testosterone therapy includes the topical prescription drugs Androgel, Axiron and Testim. Steve Leshner is currently investigating claims of men who suffered heart attack, stroke or prostate cancer after taking testosterone therapy treatment, and is available for a free consultation.
